Resilience Squadron: Accessibility, Representation and Mental Health in Star Wars Fandom

Mar 11, 2022

Resilience Squadron is a monthly podcast on the Skywalking Through Neverland Network where Greg Norman and Jack Vasvary share and discuss great stories related to disability, chronic illness, and mental health within the Star Wars fandom.

In this episode Greg and Jack talk to Emma Mieko Candon, author of Star Wars Ronin: A Visions Novel, based on the short The Duel from the Star Wars Visions animated series. Emma, self-described as a queer, disabled cyborg, talks about her experiences with life-threatening illness and chronic pain, how it shaped her writing, and how it helped form the alternate-Star Wars universe of The Ronin.
